On September 10, SFTC celebrated the 36th Teachers’ Day and held a commendation meeting in the Lecture Hall. The meeting was attended by Mr. Zhang Weike, Member of the CPC Standing Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province (DCSP), Mr. Zhang Lei, Deputy Director of Personnel Department of DCSP, Mr. Lin Lingjia, SFTC Party Secretary, Prof. Diao Jiandong, President of SFTC, Mr. Zhou Houcai, Mr. Gao Cheng, and Ms. Chen Wei, Vice Presidents of SFTC, alumni representatives, and SFTC faculty and students. President Diao Jiandong presided over the meeting.
Vice President Gao Cheng announced the list of model teachers for the 2019-2020 academic year, and they are awarded. Miss Zhang Yuqian, student representative from the Department of Information Engineering, Software Class 1, Grade 2, Ms. Dong Wenjing, teacher representative from the Department of Economic Management, and Mr. Zhang Peng, 1995 alumni from the Business Japanese Program and General Manager of Qingdao Dongming Textile Import and Export Co. LTD, delivered speeches on the meeting.
On behalf of the Provincial Department of Commerce, Mr. Zhang Weike extended greetings to all SFTC faculty and congratulated those who were honored. He affirmed SFTC’s achievements in schooling, environment development, personnel training and school-enterprise cooperation, introduced the business operation in Shandong and emphasized the important role of SFTC in the business education of the province. He then proposed that SFTC should focus on these four aspects: teachers’ development, teaching quality, boosting poverty alleviation through training and the integration of industry and education. He expected SFTC faculty could make more contributions to the business development of Shandong Province.
