Organized by College English Department and the Youth League of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, the 4th annual English Festival was opened on March 12, 2012. The Festival aims to further highlight the unique strength of our college in English teaching and learning, and to push forward the ongoing college English teaching reform while at the same time offering great opportunities to avid English learners to hone their skills.
        As the prelude to the Festival, lectures on English study were held simultaneously on the south campus and the north campus of our college on March 12. Boasting a huge audience turnout and a lively beat, the lectures will surely energize students to devote more efforts to English learning.
        Under the theme of “Live English, Enjoy Culture”, this year’s Festival seeks to motivate students to get fully involved in the many activities in store to foster their creativity, enhance practical competence and improve English skills. Four categories of activities are featured in this English Festival, namely “Golden Challenges”, “Super Skills”, “English Cultural Tour” and “Awards Ceremony”. Through each activity under these series, every participant can not just experience the fun and joy associated with English learning but put their English skills to test.
A stage for students to showcase their talents and upbeat spirit, and a part of “Everyday English” Second Classroom, the English Festival stays true to its mission to promote English learning and will further strengthen our college as one with unique English feature.
