On 26 December 2011, Ms. Su Yingzi, General Motors senior economic analyst, gave a lecture on US and world economy to the staff and students of our college, on the invitation of Mr. Wang Rongchang, President of the college, who hosted the lecture.
After an elaboration on such major issues affecting the world as European debt crisis, Japan’s earthquake and tsunami, revolutionary upheavals in the Middle East, US economic turmoil and Chinese macroeconomic control, Ms. Su analyzed in a clear and simple manner their great impact on global trade and financial market. She also made a forecast on the general economic trend in China, US and the whole world in 2012, based on her professional expertise and sound data. The lecture was concluded with a heated Q&A session with bunches of insightful questions and answers.
As a GM senior economic analyst, Ms. Su is responsible for making analysis and forecast of the US and world economy, providing solid basis for GM’s decision-making on its marketing and strategic development.
