The International Trade Faculty Team of our college, headed by associate professor Liu Min, recently won a "Faculty Team of the Province for 2011" title, an honor awarded by Shandong Provincial Education Department.

The now 20-strong team includes six part-time teachers who come from different enterprises. Since its foundation in 1964, it has been devoted to the nurturing of talents for the international trade sector of the province. Thanks to their good academic backgrounds, abundant practical experiences, high professionalism, innovative spirit and excellent teaching and research competence, the team members have made great achievements in pioneering the collaboration with enterprises, reforming modes of education, reinforcing the programs and courses, improving teaching facilities and their self-improvement. Besides, the team actively serves society and has become an important partner for the international trade enterprises in Shandong Province through offering training programs and technical assistance.

The International Trade Program of our college, which the Faculty Team serves, is the most important cradle for high quality foreign trade professionals in the province, having produced a huge number of excellent foreign trade workers and managers over the last five decades. Named a “Unique Program of the Province”, it is highly recognized throughout the province.

So far, two faculty teams of the college have won the title, the other being the Business English Faculty Team, awarded in 2010.
