Bringing in international teachers to teach courses of certain programs at SFTC is major step in building our college into a prestigious college in Shandong. To ensure a seamless integration of courses and the quality of delivery, the Academic Affairs Office of SFTC held a special seminar for leaders and foreign teachers of five programs including Accounting, Finance, and Economics.

The Seminar focused on the teaching plan, teaching design and teaching models for English-taught courses. Program leaders made suggestions to the foreign teachers on the delivery of courses in line with the requirements and students’ needs.

Having international teachers to teach program courses in English is of great significance in that it provides authentic professional English teaching environment, offers students fresh perspectives, improves the level of integration between Chinese and international programs, enhances SFTC’s ability to deliver education services in conjunction with international partners, and increases students’ competitiveness in the job market.

The Seminar was presided over by Director of Academic Affairs Office Chen Xiangguo and was attended by Vice President Zhou Houcai, Vice Director of Academic Affairs Office Wang Yingxi, Heads of Departments and Program leaders, and foreign teachers Jonathan Wright and Christopher Peev.
