On Sep 12 a meeting on Qingdao Secondary and Higher Vocational School League of International Trade Major was held in Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College (SFTC). Leaders and experts from Qingdao Municipal Education Bureau, Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce, School of Economics of Ocean University of China, China Shippers’ Association, league schools and enterprises attended the meeting.

In the meeting, President Diao Jiandong introduced school characteristics, major achievements made over the past years and the current league construction. He also expressed the hope to make joint efforts with other league members to make the League a brand of Qingdao vocational education and boost foreign-oriented economy in Qingdao further.

League rules were examined and approved in the meeting. Steering committee members, the director, the vice director, the secretary-general were appointed after a vote. President Diao Jiandong and Consultant from Qingdao Municipal Education Bureau Niu Xuguang unveiled the nameplate for the League. Relevant leaders and experts made some pertinent comments on the scheme. Vice president Zhou Houcai, who was elected Director of the League, mapped out the plan for league construction.

Qingdao Secondary and Higher Vocational School League of International Trade Major is one of the three vocational school leagues approved by Qingdao Municipal Education Bureau. It is spearheaded by SFTC, combining four secondary vocational schools, three higher vocational schools and five famous enterprises in Qingdao. The construction of the scheme lasts for two years which is due to be completed in 2015.
