Five SFTC exchange students set off to DAEEJIN University

At the beginning of the new term, five SFTC students majoring in Applied Korean Language set off to DAEEJIN University for a half-year study as exchange students on 11th, September. Ms. Cui Wei, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, saw them off at Qingdao Airport.

On May 5th, 2014, DAEEJIN University and SFTC signed a memorandum of cooperation for exchange and top-up programs officially. According to the memorandum, the two sides will send five exchange students at most to each side for a six- month study with tuition waivers. Five students were selected based on their performance on written and speaking tests given by professional teachers for Korean majors. The five students have the opportunity to further their study as juniors in DAEEJIN University if their Korean competence meets the requirements issued by Ministry of Education of Republic of Korea and DAEEJIN University on overseas students.

In October, 2011, Mr. Son Unho, Director of International Communication College and Ms. Lee Hyeonjeong, Head of Office of Educational Administration paid their first visit to SFTC. From 2011 to 2013, there have been six SDFT students pursuing their studies in DAEEJIN University successively. DAEEJIN University was founded in 1992, which is the largest comprehensive university to the north of Seoul. It has five graduate schools which includes 51 Master and Doctor Programs and five colleges with 49 majors. Several prestigious professors of DAEEJIN University in the academic field have been included in the World Who’ Who.
