On Dec. 21, 2014, delegates of Malaysian Systematic Education Group International (SEGI) paid a visit to our college (SFTC). The visiting guests were Amy Choo, Commissioner of International Department, and Zhang Liang, Executive Director of Confucius Institute and Director of China Office from SEGI. Mr. Diao Jiandong, President of SFTC and Ms Cui Wei, Head of Office of International Programs met the guests.
In the meeting, Mr. Diao discussed with the guests in details about the mode of cooperation, enrollment advertisement, the mode of connection in education, exchange and training of faculty and students and other relevant issues in cooperative education. After the meeting, the guests had a guided tour of the Comprehensive Training Center. Both sides had also agreed on the initiative of sending SFTC students to SEGI to participate in the Winter Travel and Study activities.
Founded in 1977, SEGI University Group was then known as Systematic College, but now it has developed into one of the largest six-star universities registered by Malaysia Department of Education. More than a thousand international students from over 70 countries and regions are enrolled in SEGI colleges every year. Today, the Group boasts of over 30,000 full time students, enrolling in courses conferring 100 degrees (including doctorate) and professional diplomas. SEGI students can transfer their credits to the well-known universities and colleges in U.K., U.S. and Australia for further studies. What’s more, the first Confucius Institute in Malaysia will be officially opened in SEGI in January, 2015.
