As released in its latest documents, the Ministry of Education appointed Professor Diao Jiandong, President of SFTC, Chairman of its Advisory Committee for Foreign Languages Teaching of Vocational Education Institutes in China, one of its five key directing and advising organs for foreign languages teaching, compulsory education, arts and design, culture cultivation and education technologies. The Advisory Committee shall provide professional services to some 1388 tertiary vocational colleges and 13600 secondary vocational schools in China. Professor Cui Wei, Director of International Programs of SFTC, was appointed Secretary General for the Advisory Committee. The tenure of the Advisory Committee is from 2017 to 2020.
