The 2017 China-Latin America Investment and Trade Promotion Workshop was held at Huangdao Training Base in the afternoon of July 23. 6 ministerial officials and 15 senior officers from Latin America attended the workshop organized jointly by SFTC and the Bureau of Commerce of Qingdao. 150 representatives from some 80-strong local enterprises, including CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., QEA Investment Group, Double-star Oversea Trading Co., Ltd., AEA etc. attended the workshop, which was presided over by President Diao Jiandong.

Individual meetings and discussions between local enterprise representatives and Latin American officials had been arranged during the workshop. Officials from Uruguay, Brazil, Panama had expressed their wishes to strengthen cooperation with Chinese enterprises and to invite more investment from China. At the same time, the local enterprises showed their strong wish to explore Latin American market.
