On November 22, the 1st SFTC Foreign Trade Festival, organized by the International Trade Department (ITD), opened in the Lecture Hall. Participants included Mr. Lu Jiantong, CEO of Weihai Silk Road Trade and Economic Cooperation Promotion Center, Mr. Zhang Zechuan, Chairman of Qingdao Nawei Creative Science, Technology and Culture Co., Ltd., Professor Zhou Houcai, SFTC Vice President, Ms Qi Chunxia, Deputy Director of the Office of Teaching and Academic Affairs, Mr. Su Chunpeng, ITD Party Secretary, Ms Liu Min, ITD Director, Mr, Xue Qinghui, Deputy Director of the International Transportation and Logistics Department and some ITD faculty members.
The festival began with the host introducing the Foreign Trade Festival. Subsequently, Professor Zhou Houcai delivered an opening speech, and the special guest Mr. Lu Jiantong also brought an inspiring lecture on “International Innovation & the Belt and Road”. After the opening ceremony, various activities of the Foreign Trade Festival are launched.
Upholding SFTC’s Foreign-oriented school motto, the festival aims to further promote "Industry Culture into Campus", enhancing SFTC students' enthusiasm for and the understanding of international trade, so as to improve their professional capabilities.
