The second National College English Test Band 4 (CET4) and Band 6 (CET6) in 2011 were held on 17 December. 3213 students in the college took the CET4 and 857 participated in the CET6, totaling 4070 candidates and setting a new record.

      To ensure that the test goes smoothly, a working group was set up by the college consisting of six subgroups in charge of test organizing, leakage prevention, signaling, security, publicity, logistical support and medical assistance. On Dec.15, just two days prior to the test, Vice President Diao Jiandong, head of the working group organized a training session for the invigilators, at which careful deployment was made relating to the test. Mr. Diao also called on all the invigilators to carry out their duties with great seriousness and to be prepared for all contingencies. Vice President Zhou Houcai also spoke at the training session.

      With great attention from the college leadership and collaboration from all relevant departments, the test was completed with utmost success, with not a single case of cheating or mishap reported.
