SFTC Students Won First Prize in Practical Oral English Contest

The 10th Shandong Practical Oral English Contest for Vocational College, hosted by Shandong Provincial Education Department, has just been concluded in Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology on April 15. Chen Min, a student from SFTC Business English Department, won the First Prize in the English Majors Group.

Practical Oral English Contest for Vocational College is the top contest of English skills in the vocational colleges of Shandong Province and aims at testing the ability of practical English skills in real language context. Students from more than 70 vocational colleges have participated in the contest. The contest consists of two stages: preliminary and final contests, each including two parts--presentation and interview. Chen Min, the first prize winner, demonstrated her agile thinking and practical English skills, which made her stand out and win the coveted top prize.       

Chen Min is from 2012 Business English Class 7 of the Business English Department. Students in Class 7 are known to be hard-working and eager to learn.

Lv Lixiu, another student from Class 7, is going to participate in the upcoming National English Writing Contest for Vocational College Students.
