SUNY Oswego Visits SFTC

On March 5th, State University of New York at Oswego, also known as SUNY Oswego,paid a visit to Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College (SFTC). Mr. Wang Rongchang, Party Secretary of the college, and Ms. Cui Wei, Head of the Foreign Affairs Office met with Dr. Joshua McKeown, Director of the International Education Affairs Department, and Peace Li, Director of the Asian Branch of International Admission Office.

Mr. Wang Rongchang first showed the guests around the Practical Training Building, where they had exchanges with teachers and students in class. After the tour, the two parties held an extensive discussion about the cooperation mode whereby students in SFTC can pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in SUNY Oswego. A preliminary consensus was reached in collaboration on majors, credits transfer, courses, teacher exchanges and training, andscholarships.

Located in Oswego, New York State, and established in 1861, State University of New York at Oswego is a comprehensive public university in the USA, with 8000 or so students on campus. There are four colleges in the university, i.e. Liberal Arts and Science College, Communication and Arts College, Business College, and Education College, with 110 majors in them, including majors in Languages and International Trade, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, HR Management, Marketing, Computer Science, Philosophy, Psychology and so on. Most of the majors offer postgraduate programmes.
