National Banking Skills Contest 2013 for College Undergraduates has just been concluded in Guangzhou. Chen Tianyu, Zhang Nan and Hu Chunhan, students in 2012 Finance and Insurance Class of  Business Management Department, won First Team Prize and several individual awards under the guidance of their teachers Liu Yi and Yuan Jinyu.

Sponsored by Instructing Committee of the National Vocational Education of Finance and hosted by Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic, the Contest is the first and largest nationwide banking skills contest. A total of 252 college students from 84 vocational colleges participated in the contest. The contest features comprehensive banking skills and three individual categories including manual cash counting, accounting documents calculating and character input. After a fierce competition, SFTC bagged the First Team Prize, one First Prize and two Second Prizes in the individual contest programs.

These Prizes highlight the talents cultivating capacity of SFTC and strengthen its reputation in vocational education nationwide. The team members said the Contest deepened their understanding of Finance and Insurance knowledge, cultivated their team spirit and ability to analyze and solve practical problems. All these would lay a solid foundation for their future study and work.
