On May 27th the nameplate-unveiling ceremony of the SFTC campus was held in Tai’an. Ms Lv Wei, the Deputy Director General of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Ms Chen Li, a member of the CPC Committee of Tai’an Municipal Government, Prof. Yang Mingang, Party Secretary of SFTC attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. The attendants of the ceremony also included Mr. Tian Meng, Deputy Director of General Office of Tai’an Municipal Government, Mr. Lv Huaiyu, Director General of Tai’an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Mr. Zhang Chuanfeng, Deputy Director of Tai’an Municipal Bureau of Education, Mr. Jiang Jianmin, Deputy Director of Tai’an Municipal Bureau of Human Resource and Social Security, Ms Weiyu, SFTC’s Vice President and Administrative Director of Tai’an Campus and teacher and student representatives of SFTC’s Tai’an campus. President Diao Jiandong presided over the ceremony.

According to the decisions of Shandong Provincial Government, Shandong Business and Technical School shall halt its operation and be absorbed into Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College. The School is renamed as SFTC’s Tai’an Campus and undertakes five-year tertiary education.

In her speech, Ms Lv Wei hoped that the launching of Tai’an Campus shall enhance SFTC’s daily operation and talent cultivation, which will further boost the development of commercial business in Shandong Province. She requested that all SFTC staff shall carry forward with high working spirits, proactive innovation, and greater diligence in their teaching, and thus make greater achievements.

Ms. Chen Li congratulated the launching of Tai’an Campus and noted that the opening of the Campus will stimulate the development of local export-oriented economy and modern service industry and in the end will greatly promote the social, cultural and development of Tai’an city. She hoped that SFTC shall develop faster and build itself into a distinctive and top vocational college in the Shandong province.

On behalf of SFTC, SFTC Party Secretary and Prof. Yang Mingang expressed thanks to the guests for their support and attendance of the ceremony. He said the launching of Tai’an Campus ushered a new era of SFTC’s development. He requested that the Administrative Organ of Tai’an Campus shall push ahead with all work solidly and orderly to realize a steady transition.

Journalists from Tai’an Daily, Tai’an Radio and TV Station, Shandong Education TV Station, Qilu Evening News, etc. also attended the launching ceremony.
