On May 9, 2015, Our College hosted a working seminar on TOEIC Bridge Test (a Professional English Proficiency Test). The Test was recommended by the General Secretary of the Advisory Committee of Foreign Languages Teaching in Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education in April, 2014. Deans of English Departments and related departments from vocational colleges in Shandong Province attended the seminar.

President Diao Jiandong extended a warm welcome and made a brief introduction of SFTC to all delegates. Mr. Liu Yunpeng, Project Supervisor of the TOEIC Bridge, introduced the Test and spoke highly of SFTC for its promotion of the TOEIC Bridge Test in Shandong province. He also briefed how the Test has been promoted in several other provinces in China last year. Delegates from other colleges in Shandong, Mr. Sun Guodong, Deputy Dean of College English Department of Qingdao Technical College, and Mr. Zhang Ke, an English teacher from Zibo Vocational Institute, have shared how the Test has been conducted in their colleges. Heated discussions and Q & As on the Test have been done among the seminar participants. At the seminar, Ms Cui Wei, director of International Programs of SFTC and a committee member of Advisory Committee of Foreign Languages Teaching in Vocational Education of the Chinese Ministry of Education, introduced TOEIC Bridge Test work guidance and arrangement of the Advisory Committee for 2015.

The seminar reviews the achievements of TOEIC Bridge Test in Shandong Province in 2014 and works on promotion of the Test for 2015. As the Provincial Testing Center of TOEIC Bridge in Shandong, SFTC successfully held its TOEIC Test on December 28, 2014.
