On January 26th 2015, the Civil Aviation Training Center was tested in SFTC and was ready for use. The center was funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The testing and acceptance of the center marked the completion of the construction work and the center is due to operate.
The center was SFTC’s second scheme backed by central government funding. It boasts five training sections such as the Cabin Service Training Section, the Call Center of Air-ticket Sales, the Civil Aviation Cargo Transport Training Section, the Aviation Science Education Center and the Image Design Center, fitted with the most advanced equipments, including a mock-up B737-800 cabin, stimulated equipments mocking the airline daily operations, such as air-ticket selling service, boarding and safety checking services, and cargo management. Controlling airline operation software, such as the ETERM system, a call center and a CBT system are also stalled in the training center. Relevant faculty training is underway.
The center will be put into full operation for cultivating SFTC students from the Airline Service Program and the Aviation Business Program. It will also be used for staff training for various local airlines.
