On March 22, the 8th Foreign Languages and Culture Festival formally unveiled on the Licang campus. Aiming at ‘Thinking Globally, Acting Locally’, the festival would last for 3 weeks from March 22 to April 15. Students from all programs of SFTC are encouraged to participate in the four categories of activities: Gold Medal Challenge, Cultural Experience, Public Service Announcement and Humanistic Literacy. All activities are designed for the capability enhancement of foreign languages and the awareness improvement of foreign cultures.

So far, the ‘Gold Medal Challenge’ activities, including the ‘Gold Ear’ Listening Contest, the ‘Gold Tongue’ Dubbing Contest and the ‘Gold Voice’ Sing Contest, have been held successfully. Lectures, Foreign Language Salon, Foreign Films Evenings and other culture-experiencing activities will be held in succession.

As an inalienable part of campus life, the Festival provides the students with a platform to show their talents and to sharpen their capabilities of foreign languages.
