The joint cross-border E-commerce incubator base officially launched

Qingdao Cross-border Electronic Commerce Incubator Base, a joint strategic incubating project between Qingdao Licang District Government and SFTC, was officially launched on January 15, 2016. Located in the Art 1688 Creative Industry Park (No. 1022 of Beilao Road), the Base will be operated by Qingdao Cross-border Electronic Commerce Incubator Base Management Company Ltd., an affiliate of SFTC.

The Base has established ‘One platform and One Desk’, namely, ‘Shandong Shanmao’, the cross-border E-commerce service platform of Shandong province and ‘Xinglong Cang’, the special comprehensive service desk boosting foreign trade for Licang District. Through innovation and pioneering in business channels and types, the Base helps to form a close-loop flow of information, commodities, logistical and financial service, and to boost foreign trade for Licang District and Qingdao. Some US$ 300 million annual gross import and export trade volume is expected to be realized for Licang District by the Base.

The launch of the incubator base will make the best of SFTC’s alumni resources and its educational advantages in Electronic Commerce, International Trade, and Foreign Languages Education. The Base will provide efficient work placement for SFTC students, as well as the financial and platform support for students who wish to start their own business. In the long run, the incubator base will cultivate talents and provide technical support for the E-commerce enterprises and the transformation and upgrading of traditional foreign trade companies.
