On Aug.2 2015, Amy Choo, Commissioner of International Department, and Zhang Liang, Executive Director of Confucius Institute and Director of China Office from Malaysian Systematic Education Group International (SEGI) paid another visit to Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College (SFTC). Mr. Diao Jiandong, President of SFTC, and Ms Cui Wei, Head of International Programs, met with the guests.
In the meeting, President Diao extended a warm welcome to the two guests’ second visit to SFTC. He also expressed his wish for further exchange and expansion of cooperative areas between the two colleges. The two guests focused on the programs offered by the Business and Accounting School of SEGI and the exchanges between SEGI and a number of Chinese mainland universities and colleges on the Confucius Institute Program. They emphasized the superiority in degrees, language and future career opportunities for Chinese students studying at SEGI, and expressed their wish to attract more SFTC students to study with SEGI.
In-depth discussions are made on the enrollment of SFTC students to SEGI, their future career and the exchanges of faculty and students in the coming years. A friendly cooperation agreement was signed between the two parties. After the meeting, Mr. Diao and Ms Cui accompanied the two guests on a campus tour of the Global Village and the Expo Lounge of the Alumni and the College History.
Located in Kuala Lumpur, SEGI was founded in 1977 and now it has developed into one of the key six-star universities mainly supported by Malaysia Department of Education. SEGI delegation had paid the first visit to our college in December, 2014. Their second visit promoted a successful conclusion of the friendly cooperation agreement and laid a solid foundation for further collaboration of the two colleges. SFTC students, if decide to further their studies with SEGI, they can obtain degrees of Bachelor, Master or PhD. Graduates can be conferred double academic degree certificates and educational qualification certificates by SEGI and other famous educational institutions in Britain and Australia.
