SFTC held a Campus Job-hunting Fair for its 2017 graduates on December 10, 2016 as scheduled on the Licang Campus. Three venues were set for the Fair, namely, the Culture & Sports Center, the No. 2 Teaching Building and the No. 2 Dining Hall. A total of 910 enterprises, nearly 30% of which are operated by SFTC alumni, provided more than 21,000 jobs for 3,200 SFTC graduates.
The number of enterprises attended the campus job-hunting fairs has been on the rise, with 400 enterprises for 2013, 500 for 2014 and 750 for 2015, and a record high this year. Graduates from SFTC cooperative universities such as Yantai University were also invited to participate the fair for job hunting.
SFTC has always been keen on cultivating suitable graduates as per the demand of the job market. In the new format of international trade, SFTC is integrating the advantages of various programs, deepening the college-led cooperation with the local government and enterprises and exploring new talent cultivation modes, such as the Modern Apprenticeship, so as to cultivate qualified talents for the local enterprises.
To make full use of the fair, SFTC mobilized its teachers to have on-the-spot surveys of talent demands of the enterprises. Preliminary agreements had been reached between the programs and the enterprises, which laid solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation. The success of the fair indicated a good start for the 2017 SFTC graduates.
