On the morning of May 17, the International Trade Department (ITD) inaugurated the “Changhui Class”, and enterprise tutors from Qingdao Changhui Pipe Industry Co., Ltd. (QCPI) had their first face-to-face talk with students from the entitled class. Mr. Zhang Duobin, General Manager of QCPI and a Grade 1993 SFTC alumni, Mr. Chen Yanning, Director of SFTC’s Alumni Affair Office, Mr. Su Chunpeng, Party Secretary of ITD, Mr. Li Fei, Director of ITD’s Student Work Office, attended the inauguration and meeting with students and their mentors.

In the meeting, Mr. Zhang Duobin looked back his studying and entrepreneurial experience, and shared his working experience as an international trade insider with the students. He also analyzed the impact of Sino-US trade war on China’s international trade industry and shared his understanding of and solutions to the challenges Chinese international trade enterprises faced. He encouraged ITD students to enrich their knowledge reserves and to actively improve their academic qualifications. He further inspired them to deal with problems from multiple angles, and showcased useful skills in international trade negotiations. Career planning, foreign language learning, and industry futures had been discussed in the meeting. Mr. Su Chunpeng also pepped his ITD students up by encouraging them to seize the learning opportunities to further sharpen their competitiveness, expressed his good wishes to QCPI.

After the meeting, Mr. Zhang Duobin had lunch with the “Changhui Class” at SFTC’s canteen.

The college-enterprise cooperation agreement was signed between SFTC and QCPI in March this year, and Class 7, Grade 2018 from the International Trade Program was entitled “Changhui Class”. QCPI is a manufacturing enterprise specialized in pipe fittings, integrated piping systems and overall pipe engineering solutions. Its products have been sold to more than 40 countries and regions and have formed a complete domestic and international industrial chain.
