SFTC counselors conducted home visits to some of the students during the winter vacation and delivered warm caring from the college and teachers to the students’ family.

Headed by Mr. Gao Cheng, Vice Dean of SFTC, the home visiting team included staff members from SFTC Student Work Office and various departments. From February 1st to February 2nd, they visited students with economic difficulties in Haiyan county of Yantai and Pingdu County of Qingdao, and sent SFTC’s consolation money and other life necessities.

During the visit, Mr. Gao Cheng graciously communicated with the students and their parents, showing concerns about their family economic conditions and difficulties they encountered. He encouraged the students to challenge the temporary difficulties with confidence and determination and to study hard to repay the care and concerns from the college and the society.

The activities included the on-site home visitings to 20 students’ homes and on-line and telephone communications with another 90 SFTC students whose family were enduring economic difficulties.
