Mr. Thomas Sim, Chairman of the Career Training Committee of FIATA (the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations), accompanied by Mr. Liu Xuede, Vice President and Secretary General of CIFA (China International Freight Forwarders Association), paid a visit to SFTC on June 16, 2016. President Diao Jiandong, Vice President Zhou Houcai and the teaching faculty of Logistics Department met the guests. Both sides exchanged ideas on international logistics and forwarders training.

President Diao Jiandong extended a warm welcome to all the guests and briefed them about SFTC’s Programs of International Transportation and Logistics Management. Mr. Sim introduced the latest development of international logistics and expressed the hope to cooperate with SFTC on FIATA’s certification for international freight forwarders. Mr. Liu Xuede said SFTC had cultivated a lot of professional talents for China and won rave reviews in the industry. CIFA would give strong support to FIATA for their work in China and was willing to cooperate with SFTC to cultivate more high-quality talents in international logistics and make contribution to the national economic development.

President Diao thanked Mr. Liu Xuede for his support to the development of SFTC in the past years and expressed wishes for closer cooperation in the future.

The guests also visited SFTC’s History Lounge and the Alumni Lounge and highly praised SFTC for its achievements in talent cultivation.
