'Modern Apprenticeship Talent Cultivation amongst Vocational Education in Shandong', the 2017 Campus Tour of Net Media kicked off at SFTC in the morning of April 24. Journalists from People’s Network, China Youth Network, China Jiangsu Network, Zhejiang Online and other 30 principal national Internet media and newspapers joined the Campus Tour. Some trainees from the ChinaAid programs carried out at SFTC were invited to the opening ceremony. Live online broadcasting and simultaneous interpretation of the event were offered by SFTC.
Sponsored by Shandong Provincial Education Department and the Internet Media Management Office of Shandong Province, the Campus Tour is jointly organized by the Shandong Internet Media Group and the noted vocational colleges in the Province. The journalists will report on the achievements and experiences of talent cultivation, teaching reform, college-enterprise cooperation, and college administration among vocational colleges in Shandong. The purposes are to showcase the development of vocational education in the Province, to inspire affections towards labor, knowledge, skills and innovations, and to enhance the social influence and attraction of vocational education.
SFTC is a pilot vocational college pioneering in modern apprenticeship amongst its programs of liberal arts in Shandong. The International Trade Practice, Logistics Management and E-commerce Management are included into the trial programs of the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme initiated by Shandong Provincial Education Department and the Education Bureau of Qingdao in 2015 and 2016. SFTC was selected as one of the 3 representatives to report its achievements on Modern Apprenticeship on a working meeting organized by the Business Sub-committee of China Association of Higher Vocational Education Researches in 2016. The report was well received and detailed on the practices of SFTC, or, the ‘12345’ Scheme, namely, ‘One Aim, Two Platforms, Three Talent Cultivation Steps, Four Systems and Five Supporting Policies’.
