In the morning of March 15 2017, the opening ceremony of Shandong College-Enterprise Union(CEU) of Cross-border E-commerce and the Symposium on Cross-border E-Commerce Industry Development and Talent Cultivation were held at SFTC's Outsourcing Base in Huangdao. Mr. Diao Jiandong, SFTC President and Chair of the Board of CEU, reported to the opening ceremony the founding process of the CEU and the working plan for 2017. The Charter of the Union was read and deputy chairs, directors, General Secretary and Vice General Secretaries of the cross-border E-commerce CEU were also elected at opening ceremony. The event was presided by Mr. Lin Lingjia, CPC Party Secretary of SFTC.

The cross-border E-commerce CEU has 1481 member institutes and the 108 director institutes include 6 chambers of cross-border E-commerce promotion in Shandong and Qingdao, 11 departments and schools related to business or management of the noted local universities, 29 local vocational colleges, and 62 leading E-commerce enterprises around the Province.

The founding of the cross-border E-commerce CEU has its significance in pooling the talent resources of cross-border E-commerce, deepening college-enterprise cooperation and integration, stepping up E-commerce talent cultivation. It will boost the development of cross-border E-commerce, the upgrading of the traditional International trade industry and the increase of international trade volume of Shandong Province. And in the long run, it will sharpen the competitiveness of Shandong's international trade, helping to build an open local economy.
