Recently, the CPC Organizations Department and the Youth League Committee of SFTC launched an on-campus activity named "Helping the Poor, Warming the Province", offering donations to the needy, to support the poverty alleviation in rural Shandong. The activity was a quick response to the calls from the Youth League's Shandong Provincial Committee and the “First CPC Secretary” dispatched by SFTC to work at Yandian, a township in LinQing, Liaocheng District.

The activities include “A donation”, donating winter cloths, life and students' necessities to those in Yandian; "A Charity Sale ”, donating the money from the charity sales to the those in the township; "A Writing Contest of Spring Festival Couplets”, writing couplets for the poor families  in Yandian; "A One-day Volunteer Service”, providing services to the empty-nesters and the left-behind kids whose parents couldn’t came back for family reunifications in rural Yandian; and "A Coupling with the Left- behind Kids", encouraging SFTC students writing to the left-behind kids in Yandian.

Some 500 pieces of winter clothes, 123 pieces of stationery, 82 pieces of life necessities, 37 cultural products, RMB 299 yuan from the Charity Sales and 16 sets of spring festival couplets have been collected and shipped to Yandian. The donation, the charity sales and the couplet writing had been done before Jan.8, 2018, and the other activities were to be completed during the winter vacation.
