SFTC students won several awards in the 5th College Student Art Exhibition and the 15th College Students' Science and Technology Culture Festival, organized by the Department of Education and the Youth League of Shandong province.

"A Tree", an opera performed by SFTC students won 1st Prize for operas, and its director, Mr. Sang Wei, was awarded the Best Opera Director. "Farewell, My Concubine" , "The Riverbank", "Flower Sea", "Chinese Folklore" and "The Wrong Way", five paintings made by SFTC students won a 1st Prize, one 2nd Prize and three 3rd Prizes for painting. Mr. Liu Jie was awarded as the Best Painting Teacher. Photographs made by SFTC teachers and students won several other prizes, and SFTC was awarded as “Excellent Organizer” in the 5th College Student Art Exhibition.

"Mountain Climbing", a poem composed by SFTC student Wang Wentao, "Red Flower", a piece of paper-cutting made by Lu Yushu, and "Next Dance", a dance performed by Wang Tongtong and Wang Cichen, won different awards in the 15th College Students' Science and Technology Culture Festival.

SFTC has emphasis on cultural and talent cultivation among its students, and has choreographed various colorful on-campus cultural activities for its students to enrich their studies and daily life.
