China-Zambia Investment and Trade Promotion Workshop was held at Huangdao Training Base in the afternoon of August 13. The workshop was part of the training Seminar sponsored by ChinaAid for Zambian ministerial officials. 16 ministerial officials and 8 department chiefs from Zambia officials, 150 representatives from some 40-strong local government and enterprises, including CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., Haier Group attended the workshop organized jointly by SFTC and the Bureau of Commerce of Qingdao.

Individual chatting between local enterprise representatives and Zambian officials had been arranged during the workshop. Officials from Zambia expressed their wishes to strengthen cooperation with Chinese enterprises and to invite more investment from China. At the same time, the local enterprises showed their strong wish to explore Zambian market. President Diao Jiandong delivered a speech at the workshop and promised to make the best use of ChinaAid programs as platforms and bridges for the better communications and exchanges between local enterprises and Zambia.
