On December 9, 2017 SFTC held the first on-campus job fair for its 2018 graduates in its Licang campus. Some 1450 companies attended the job fair providing 27,000-strong posts for SFTC's 3700 graduates in 2018.

After a rigorous screening process, SFTC finally chose 1450 companies out of the 1600 applying employers. Of these companies, more than 90% are located in Qingdao, 412 are set up by SFTC alumni, and 954 have had SFTC employees. Most of them are engaged in international trade, and quite a few are well-known exporters. Posts provided on the job fair cover all SFTC programs, some of which are even pursued by bachelor and graduate students. Because of SFTC students’ high reputation, many companies come here for employees frequently. “70% of employees in my company graduated from SFTC,” said Mr. Zhu Yongshan, General Manager of Qingdao Xifeng Embroidery Co., Ltd, a 1996 SFTC graduate, “we will continue to hire more SFTC graduates.”

To help students target better jobs, SFTC released information about the recruiters and posts beforehand on the Internet and new media. The college also arranged  150 companies to hold separate campus recruitment activities in advance. During the job fair, teachers from all programs collected detailed information about the recruiters and their requirements towards employees for better program and course designs.

The job fair kicked off the job hunting for 2018 SFTC graduates. Other types of job hunting events will be held to further meet the companies’ needs.
