6 delegates from the Universal College of Learning (UCOL), New Zealand, paid a visit to SFTC on November 14. The delegation included Ms. Leeza Boyce, the president of UCOL, Dr. Arthur Chin and Dr. Jerry Shearman, the vice presidents, and others. Mr. Lin Lingjia, the Party Committee Secretary of SFTC, and Tang Changchen, Secretary for CPC Discipline and Inspection, received the guests. Discussions were held in the conference room.

In his welcoming address, Mr. Lin Lingjia thanked President Leeza Boyce and Dr. Jerry Shearman for their detailed introduction of UCOL’s faculty setting, degree awarding, teaching and research, and international student policies during his visit to UCOL in September this year. Department heads of SFTC respectively introduced their departments to guests and further discussions were made in the meeting.   Preliminary agreements were made on faculty and student exchanges, academic and research cooperation. Both sides agreed to sign an MOU shortly afterwards.
