Recently, the Information Bureau of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) published its first quarter information feedback of 2019. On the feedback, the "Recommendations on Further Promoting China’s Cross-Border E-Commerce Development", proposed by Mr. Meng Bo, a member of the Shandong Committee of CPPCC and a teacher of the Department of Information Management of SFTC, was formally adopted and submitted to the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and relevant ministries and commissions.

On the basis of the proposal jointly put forward by Mr. Meng and Mr. Yang Jun, Chairman of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of CPPCC, on the first session of the 12th meeting of the Shandong Committee of CPPCC. The new proposal recommends Qingdao shall pioneer a Cross-Border E-Commerce industrial zone with Qingdao as its core and Yantai-Weihai-Weifang-Rizhao as its flank, through the realization of the "three landings" on trade flows, tax revenues and data collections. The purpose of the proposal is to upgrade and extend its Cross-Border E-Commerce chain, and add new weight to the approval of China (Shandong) Free Trade Pilot Area, by making best use of the beneficial policies granted to Qingdao Port, the West Coast National Economic Zone and the SCO Economic and Trade Demonstration Zone.
