The opening ceremony of Seminar on Cross-border RMB Settlement and RMB Internationalization for Belt and Road Countries in 2018 was held at SFTC Huangdao Training Base. Ms. Cheng Wei, SFTC Vice President and Mr. Semata Chileja from Vanuatu Ministry of Finance representing the trainees, addressed the ceremony. Ms. Chen Li, Director of Finance and Accounting Department presided over the ceremony.

17 students from South Sudan, Vanuatu, Sri Lanka and Burma attended the training. They are government officials from finance, foreign affairs and governmental administration services at their home countries. During their stay, they will pay study visits to Shanghai, researching on the construction of Shanghai’s Finance Center, the settlement of RMB with foreign banks and the practices of RMB’s internationalization.
